Safford Studio - The Artist

Everyday I find something new that inspires me to pull out my supplies and start making. Maybe it’s a nest, an old tractor, or a display in a museum. It’s my responsibility to keep my eyes and my sketchbook open. While drawing is my main form of creating art, I am always willing to explore other media to communicate my ideas.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in Drawing and a Bachelor of Arts, Art Education, in 2014 from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. My illustrations were published in a children’s book by Sammie Moran titled “Hector: A Small Painted Turtle” in 2019. I am currently teaching remote classes with the Glen Arbor Arts Center and the Paris Gibson Square Museum.
